Fact Check: Ghost in Jaipur’s SMS Hospital? No, this is a scripted video from Pakistan

A video supposedly showing paranormal activity has gone viral on social media. The video depicts three people sitting on a bench in a dimly lit hospital corridor. Suddenly, a frightened man dressed as a doctor run past them, and shortly after, a wheelchair emerges from a room and starts moving by itself, causing the three individuals to panic and run away. The video has been widely shared on social media with claims that it captured Ghost in Jaipur’s SMS Hospital, Rajasthan. However, D-Intent Data has discovered that the video is scripted, old, and originated from Pakistan.

Several social media users, influencers have shared the video of the paranormal activity. And claimed to be a recent incident from SMS Hospital Jaipur.

Sharing the video, an account @S_kanyaa on X (Formerly Twitter) wrote. Viral video SMS Hospital Jaipur Rajasthan. As of now, the post has received 958k views, 3.2k likes, and significant numbers of engagements.

Another account @fizaiq wrote, Scary, Viral video of SMS Hospital, Jaipur, Rajasthan. The post has received 7.5k views and significant numbers of likes, and engagements.

The truth behind the viral video of Ghost in Jaipur’s SMS Hospital

As soon as the posts containing the video showing paranormal activity came to our notice. We tried to verify the claims made by the users. We did a reverse image search of some key frames from the viral video on Google which led us to a Facebook post containing the same video uploaded in July 2022.

The video was posted with the title. ‘Real ghost caught by CCTV camera’ on a Facebook account named Syedsadam90 (2.9 Lakhs followers), who describes himself as an actor. During the research, we found his YouTube channel, Syedsadam9085 (3.5 lakh subscribers) where he uploads such scripted videos to attract viewers.

Hence, it is evident from D-Intent Data’s Fact Check that the video showing paranormal activity is not from SMS Hospital, Jaipur but an old and scripted video from Pakistan.
