Following the reports regarding adulterated ghee used in the Tirupati temple laddus, numerous claims have emerged from various sources suggesting that Amul supplied ghee to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). However, D-Intent Data has found that these allegations were not true. Amul has also responded that they have never provided ghee to TTD.

Sharing an old article screenshot on X (Formerly Twitter) Congress supporter @SpiritOfCongres wrote. Nandini used to supply pure quality of Ghee till 2023 for Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam. (TTD) Then Nandini was removed and Amul was given the contract to supply Ghee to TTD. This article is from 2023. Later, they deleted the post.

Another user @Daromat_ also shared the screenshot and wrote “Tirupati the Gujrat Connection. > Nandini, a local South Indian Brand which #RahulGandhi always promoted, used to supply pure quality Ghee for Tirupati Mandir. Then, > Through corruption, Nandini was removed & Amul, which #Modi has always promoted, was given the contract.”. Later, he deleted the post.

The truth about the claims about ghee supplied to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, Fact Check

As soon as the posts containing the claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis of the claims and found that these claims are nothing but propaganda against Amul.

To verify the claims made by the users. We performed a relevant keyword search and found Amul’s official statement regarding the claims. In the statement, they clearly stated that they had never supplied ghee to TTD.

The company said This is in reference to some social media posts mentioning that Amul Ghee was being supplied to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). We wish to inform that we have never supplied Amul Ghee to TTD. We also wish to clarify Amul Ghee is made from Milk at our state-of-the-art production facilities which are ISO certified.

Additionally, it’s important to note that the article published in August 2023, which sparked these rumours, was founded on speculation rather than verified information. During research, we found a report debunking the earlier claims about Amul supplying ghee to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam in 2023.

Moreover, According to reports, the Tamil Nadu-based AR Dairy Food Private Limited, a key supplier of ghee to the temple, has been blacklisted after being found guilty of supplying highly adulterated ghee. Among the five suppliers contracted to provide ghee, AR Dairy was the sole deceiver, with their product found to contain dangerously high levels of foreign fat.

Therefore, it is evident from verified sources that Amul has never supplied Ghee to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam. The claims are nothing but propaganda against Amul.
