A sensitive image featuring a naked woman’s corpse placed inside a freezer is making rounds on social media platforms. Several users, influencers, propagandists and political workers have shared the image with the claim that Kajal, a Hindu woman gang-raped and murdered by her live-in relationship partner, Shammi alias Shabbir Miyan, along with his seven Muslim friends in Assam. However, D-Intent Data has found that the image is old and is not related to Assam.

Several users, influencers, propagandists and political workers have disseminated the image of a naked woman’s corpse inside a freezer and made false communal claims.
Sharing the image fake news peddler and propagandist account @Modified_Hindu9 on X (Formerly Twitter) wrote. Breaking NewsAnother Shraddha packed in a deep freeze in Assam. Shammi alias Shabir Miyan first got Kajal, who was living in a live-in relationship, raped by 7 Muslim boys and then packed her alive and unconscious in the freeze due to which she died of cold. The limit of brutality was crossed when Gaffar Miyan and his companions used to take out the dead body of the girl from the freeze every day for 8 days and rape the dead body and later pack it in the freeze again. Later, he deleted the post.
Another serial fake news peddler and propagandist account @SonOfBharat7 on X has also disseminated the video and said. “This is the Hindu girl “Kajal” packed in a deep freezer. Her Shabir scratched her himself for the first 6 months Then got her scratched by his 7 Namaazi friends. She was raped even after death. Of course, Shabir also loved her a lot, But that love was for the body of a Kafir girl. She had thrown out her parents for Abdul. The bitch felt such a sigh of pain from a mother that just looked at her condition. She did not get clothes even at the time of death, and her dead body was taken out of the fridge and raped hundreds of times for 7 days. Later, he deleted the post.

Truth about the viral image of a woman gang-raped and murdered, Fact Check
As soon as the posts containing the image of the naked woman’s corpse inside the freezer came to our notice, we conducted research and found that the image was old and not related to India.
To verify the claims made by the propagandists. We did a reverse image search on Google which led us to a blog post uploaded in March 2010.
According to the blog post. This image is from Osasco, Brazil, where a 45-year-old man killed his wife by asphyxiation. And placed her inside a freezer at his home. As per the blog post, in his statement to the police, the accused said. He had killed his wife by asphyxiation but in self-defence since he claimed that his wife had threatened to kill him by poisoning.
The same image was also found on other blog posts and websites, mizznasty, documentingreality. However, the authenticity of the claims made in the blog post is still unclear as we could not find a verified source regarding this image. But it has been confirmed that this image is not recent and has nothing to do with India.
Moreover, we found the Assam Police statement regarding the claims made earlier in December 2022. The Assam Police has categorically denied the occurrence of any such incident in the state.
Hence, it is evident from D-Intent Data’s Fact Check that the image of a naked woman’s corpse placed inside a freezer is old and not related to India and Hindu women.
