Fact Check – Misleading Video Claiming to Show Unhygienic Indian Street Food is Actually from Pakistan

A video showing a shirtless man sitting on the ground, covered in mud or a similar substance, allegedly preparing unhygienic food using organic waste, mud, slippers, and spitting water is being circulated with the claim that it was filmed in India. But in reality, the video is not from India—it is from Pakistan.

One account, @TheGriftReport, posted this clip and claiming:

“So this is the food Narinder Kaur prefers over Italian food.”

The motive of @TheGriftReport appears to be spreading anti-India disinformation, leveraging shock-value and false attribution to promote negative stereotypes and political messaging.

Truth: Pakistani TikTok Account Behind these Video

As this video gained traction, the D-Intent Data Team launched an investigation. Reverse image search and frame-by-frame analysis confirmed the video is from Pakistan, not India. We found Pakistani currency, Urdu-labeled bottles, and “Grace White Phenyl” containers in the footage. The TikTok account “indianfood50” behind the video is based in Pakistan and known for anti-India propaganda. Similar fake content was debunked by our team just weeks ago.

This is yet another attempt to spread misinformation, and the D-Intent Data Team remains committed to exposing such deceptive narratives.

Intent:

Influencers and propaganda accounts are circulating scripted and misleading videos created in Pakistan to falsely portray India in a negative light and promote disinformation.
