The truth about the viral video from Bulandshahr, Fact Check
As soon as the posts containing the sensitive video and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis of the video and found that it was not from an Islamic country and was unrelated to Sharia law.
To verify the claims made by the users. We performed relevant keyword searches and reverse image searches of some key frames from the viral video using Google Lens. These actions led us to several media reports regarding the incident. According to the reports (1, 2), this is an old video from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, India.
The incident occurred in March 2018. A man named Shaudan Singh assaulted his wife for committing adultery in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr, in March 2018. Strict action was taken against the accused and villagers involved in the act.
