In actuality, the Iftar gathering in the video was held in Karnataka, on the state highway in the Ullal taluk at the Mudipu junction in Mangaluru. Reportedly, the organisers of the contentious’mid-street Iftar party’ have received notification from the Election Commission of India (ECI). It is unrelated to West Bengal. We visited daijiworld.com, which published an article on this incident on April 1, 2024 with the headline “Mangaluru: Organisers of popular ‘Mid-Street Iftar’ get ECI notice”. On March 30, the event, named ‘Auto Rajakanmar Iftar,’ blocked over 200 meters of state Hihighway for more than four hours until 2 pm. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued a notice to the organisers of the contentious’mid-street Iftar celebration’ staged in Mudipu gramme panchayat. The ECI issued a warning, addressing its main organiser, Abubakar Siddique, of breaking the election model code of conduct.
