It is actually an older clip from February 2024, when protests were held to oppose the use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in the electoral process.
Sharing the video on X (Formerly Twitter) propaganda account @iamAKstalin wrote, “Seeing this crowd, it seems that the people will not allow a new government formed through fraud to be formed in Maharashtra. This crowd against EVM is very huge.” The post has received more than 160k views, 10k likes and a significant number of engagements.

The truth about the video shared as Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024, Fact Check
As soon as the posts containing the video and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis of the video and found that this is an old video from Jan-Feb 2024 and unrelated to the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024.
To verify the claims made by the users. We performed a reverse image search of some key frames from the viral video using Google Lens. This led us to a post containing the same video on X, uploaded on February 1, 2024.

Taking a cue from the post. We ran a relevant keyword search and found reports about the event. According to reports, It is an older clip from February 2024, when protests were organized to oppose the use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in the electoral process.
