Fact Check: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas referred to Indian PM Narendra Modi as a “Zionist slave”?

Following Indian PM Narendra Modi’s tweet about his conversation with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, propagandists in Pakistan are falsely claiming that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas referred to Modi as a “Zionist slave.” In reality, no such statement has been made by Abbas.

Pakistan-based anti-India propaganda account @asadnasir2000 on X (Formerly Twitter) made a post and wrote. โ€œPalestinian President Mahmoud Abbas calls Indian PM Modi a ‘Zionist slave’. The post has received more than 270k views, 12.4k likes and a significant number of engagements.

Several other propagandists have also disseminated the same claims. Their posts can be seen here, @QuickHeadlineX, @ShahidMursaleen

The truth behind the claims, Fact Check

As soon as the posts containing the claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis regarding the claims and found that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has not made any such comment about Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

To verify the claims made by the users. We performed a relevant keyword search but couldn’t find any verified and credible source supporting the claims. During research, we found multiple reports (1, 2)stating that PM Modi spoke with President Mahmoud Abbas in the US, reaffirming his support for the Palestinian people and peace in the region. These claims are nothing but a failed attempt at their propaganda against India for standing against terrorism.

Therefore, it is evident from D-Intent Data’s Fact Check that the claims are false and self-invented. Nothing to do with reality.
