Fact Check: Trump Never Said India Lost 7 Jets, Viral Video is Digitally Altered

Pakistan-based propaganda accounts are circulating a digitally altered video of U.S. President Donald Trump, falsely claiming he confirmed that seven Indian jets, including three Rafales, were shot down during the India-Pakistan tensions in May 2025. These claims are baseless and fabricated. The video is digitally manipulated. In the original cabinet meeting video from August 26, 2025, President Trump said: “seven jets were shot down” during the India-Pakistan conflict in May. However, he did not specify whether the jets belonged to India, Pakistan, or if he was referring to combined losses.

Propagandist account @IntelPk_ posted the clip multiple times, while other influencers like @War_Analysts, @DominicKra75979, and @pak_warrior12 amplified the false claim with captions such as:

“Bombshell dropped by Trump: Trump confirms 7 Indian Jet Losses including 3 Rafales during Indo-Pak May standoff. He also disclosed how he mediated for ceasefire on request of Indian Government.”

Truth: Trump Did Not Specify Indian Jet Losses

As this claim gained traction, it drew our attention. The D-Intent Data Team conducted an investigation using keyword research and verified sources. We reviewed the original White House YouTube footage from the August 26, 2025 cabinet meeting along with credible Indian media reports. These confirm that President Trump only said, “seven jets were shot down” during the May 2025 India-Pakistan conflict. He made this remark between 2:52 and 2:54 in the video. Nowhere in his statement did he mention Indian or Rafale jet losses.

No credible or official sources support the narrative of Indian jet losses or the specific mention of Rafale aircraft. The claims are baseless and fabricated. The video circulating online is digitally manipulated. In the original footage and transcript, President Trump does not specify whether the jets belonged to either side or refer to combined losses by both countries.

Intent:

Propaganda accounts are circulating digitally altered videos of the US president Donald Trump with self-invented claims to set their narrative against India.
