A video recently circulating online depicts two individuals vandalizing a structure and subsequently surrendering to security personnel. Contrary to some inaccurate claims suggesting Indian Army involvement, the video originates from Bangladesh. The security personnel seen in the video are members of the Bangladesh Army, not the Indian Army. There is no involvement or connection to India or its military forces in this incident.

The truth about the viral video shared as Indian Army, Fact Check
As soon as the posts containing the video of miscreants surrendering the security personnel came to our notice, we conducted research and analysis of the video and found that this video was from Bangladesh, and the security personnel are members of the Bangladesh Army, not the Indian Army.
To verify the claims made by the users, we performed a reverse image search of some key frames from the viral video on Google Lens which led us to several media reports containing the same visuals, uploaded in August 2024. According to the media reports(1, 2), After the clash between the two sides of BNP in Faridpur’s Boalmari, the army arrested two people while the workers on one side vandalized the shops on the other side. The incident happened last Wednesday (August 14). A video related to this went viral on social media Facebook on Saturday (August 17).
The arrested were identified as Youth Dal workers of Boalmari Md. Tutul Hossain (28) and Dukhu Mia (30). On Thursday (15 August) they were sent to prison after showing their arrest.
Therefore, D-Intent Data’s Fact Check has definitively established that the video showing miscreants surrendering to security forces does not involve the Indian Army. Instead, the footage originates from Bangladesh, and the security personnel depicted in the video are members of the Bangladesh Army.
