Truth about the video: Understanding the eviction drive from West Bengal
During research D-Intent Data has found reports regarding the video. As per reports, eviction of illegal encroachments is going on across the state. Temporary shops were occupying the space of the national highway in Rampurhat. The National Highways Authority conducted an operation there on Friday with the help of the eviction police. On the other hand, eviction operations were carried out at several places in Bolpur.
Regarding the issue, Bolpur SDO Ayan Nath said. “Some permanent shops have built some permanent or temporary structures on the footpath where pedestrians are supposed to walk on this road in Bolpur. We warned them there today. Some temporary structures have been removed. The rest have been ordered to evacuate quickly.’
Hence, the illegal shops and structures were removed by the authorities, there is no political angle in the incident.
