Fact Check: Viral claims of U.S.–India partnership suspension are false

Pakistan-based propaganda accounts are spreading false claims alleging that the United States is suspending all strategic partnerships with India. These claims are baseless, with no credible or official sources supporting them.

A propaganda account @NavCom24 first posted this fake news, claiming “United States to suspend all strategic partnerships with India, reports.”

Several other accounts  @IranTimes_ir, @News_Politics24, @Middleeastindpn, and @mujhecryaraha further amplified this narrative across social media.

Truth: U.S.–India Strategic Partnership Remains Intact

As this claim gained traction, it drew our attention. The D-Intent Data Team conducted an investigation using keyword research and credible sources. Our findings show that the viral claim is entirely false. We traced the narrative back to a post on Truth Social from U.S. President Donald Trump, where he wrote: “Looks like we’ve lost India and Russia to deepest, darkest, China. May they have a long and prosperous future together!” However, this post was speculative and did not reflect official U.S. policy.

Shortly after, during a press interaction at the White House, President Trump clarified that the U.S.–India relationship remains strong. According to @ANI, Trump said:

“I will always be friends with Modi, he is a great Prime Minister”
“India and the United States have a special relationship. There is nothing to worry about”

Further reinforcing this, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted on his official account: “Deeply appreciate and fully reciprocate President Trump’s sentiments and positive assessment of our ties. India and the US have a very positive and forward-looking Comprehensive and Global Strategic Partnership.”

These statements make it clear there has been no suspension of strategic partnerships between the U.S. and India. The bilateral relationship remains positive, forward-looking, and intact.

Propaganda accounts are circulating self-invented claims about India-US relations to set their narrative against India.
