FACTCHECK: Video shows Mi-8 helicopter crash in Ukraine capital

FACT:A helicopter crashed near Ukraine’s capital Kyiv on Jan 18, in which 16 people including top leaders lost their lives. But user shared video of a helicopter crash claiming to be from Ukraine but fact is that the shared video is an old video from Russia, where an Mi-8 Hip helicopter was crashed during an airshow in southern Russia in September 2014.

INTENT: Users sharing videos from different incidents and claiming to be from Ukraine, trying to get some spotlight on social media
