Pakistan-based accounts are spreading false and self-invented claims that 350–400 Indian soldiers lost their lives during the recent clash along the Line of Control (LoC). After reviewing official statements and credible media sources, we found that only five Indian soldiers were reported dead during the recent clash, known as Operation Sindoor. This figure was confirmed publicly by Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, Director General of Military Operations (DGMO), in a press briefing. The Indian Army has consistently maintained transparency regarding military casualties, making such exaggerated figures clearly false and baseless.
