FACT: A news is being circulated on social media with misleading claim that a Hindu woman named Rupali married Mohammed Iqbal .She was killed & police found her packed in a suitcase. Her husband killed her because she refused to wear burqa. Upon reasearch we found that this is an old incident from Mumbai where a man named Iqbal Mohammad Sheikh, murdered his Hindu wife in September 2022 over a dispute related to custody of their child. Nothing to do with burqa. It was earlier reported that the woman was killed for not following Islamic rituals but later it was clarified that the reason behind the incident was a dispute related to custody of their child and they were living separately.
