Recent videos purporting to show Pakistani politician Sarwat Fatima threatening Israel with atomic bombs are making the rounds.
Several verified profiles on twitter, including Megh Updates (“@MeghUpdates“) made the tweet after the statement from Pakistan law maker in National Assembly who said ” We possess Atom bombs” went viral. Many other verified accounts claimed the same on X, including The Macro Story (“@themacrostory“), Times Algebra (“@TimesAlgebraIND“), OSINT Updates (“@OsintUpdates“), Aditya Raj Kaul (“@AdityaRajKaul“), The Right Wing Guy (“@T_R_W_G“). They claimed that Pakistan, being a terrorist nation threatened Israel with nuclear bombs.
What is the Real Truth Behind this Video? : Fact-Check
The truth is that this is an old footage from the Sindh Provincial Assembly, in which Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Sarwat Fatima was seen making threats against Israel in 2021 while discussing about Palestine. The video is outdated and has nothing to do with the Pakistan National Assembly or the current Middle East conflict.
