This is an old video from Turkey showing football supporters throwing toys and teddy bears into the field during a game between Turkish soccer teams Antalyaspor and Besiktas in support of the children affected by the earthquake that struck in February 2023. It is not related to the current Israel-Palestine conflict.
Despite this, Palestine has received support from Bangladeshi, Pakistani, and Liverpool football fans, among others.
REUTERS published an article on this incident on Feb 28,2023. They attached the video and wrote “Besiktas fans throw toys on field for children affected by earthquake”. The match was between Turkish soccer clubs Besiktas and Antalyaspor. The stuffed toys which was thrown onto the ground was a donation to the children who were impacted by the Earthquake in Turkey and neighbouring Syria.
