Misleading claims are circulating about a video of an injured Israeli soldier, allegedly saying that after returning from Gaza, Israel is actually losing the war and that Netanyahu is deceiving his people by lying.

Verified accounts on twitter, including S p r i n t e r (“@Sprinter00000“) tweeted “Israeli soldier after returning from Gaza – We fought with ghosts, I was saved from hell. Netanyahu deceives his people with video and says we are winning” after sharing the video of the incident. The tweet was made on Nov 5, 2023, which has received an about 1.8M views on X.

According to Angelo Giuliano (“@angeloinchina“), after coming back from Gaza, a Zionist tiktok soldier said, “We fought ghosts; I was saved from hell. Netanyahu deceives his people with videos and says we are winning.”

Several other users, including AF Post (“@AFpost“), @FreedomHonor666, Wajidkhan (“@realwajidkhan“), Faisal (“@Faisnamani“) claimed the same that an injured Israeli soldier describes what happened to his fellow soldiers and the horror of the war he saw upon his return from Gaza. What is the Actual Truth About the Video? : Fact

The truth is that this video was posted on October 12, 2023, prior to the Israel Army’s ground invasion. Yair Wisner, a fighter from the Kerem Shalom standby unit, is the man who was injured. He suffered severe injuries last month while protecting his kibbutz from infiltration by Hamas terrorists.

An article was published on this incident on Oct 15, 2023 with the headline “We’ll come back and kiss them all”: the soldier of the standby unit who was wounded in the battle for the kibbutz in a moving message to his friends”.

The original video was posted in a youtube channel on Oct 12, 2023.

In the widely shared video, Yair Wisner uplifts and cheers up his friends, kibbutz. Propagandists’ claims are untrue and created, and the video doesn’t contain any references to Gaza or Netanyahu as is purported.
