What is the Actual Truth Behind this Incident? : Fact
In actuality, this is an old, out-of-context video that depicts a brawl over Mohammed Tamimi’s attempted arrest in 2015 for rock-throwing in West Bank at the age of 12.
We visited THE TIMES OF ISRAEL, which published an article on this incident on September 8, 2015 with the headline “IDF official lauds soldier who scuffled with Palestinian family”.
The boy’s family, Mohammed Tamimi, has a long history of fighting with IDF soldiers. In 2012, Turkey awarded Mohammed’s sister, A’hd, an award for her harassment of an Israeli soldier in a widely shared video. The video is not current, and it has nothing to do with the Israel’s torture of innocent children.
We visited CNN, which shared the incident on an article published on Aug 30, 2015. The picture shows the incident during a protest against settlement construction in the West Bank village of Nabi Saleh on August 28, where an armed Israeli soldier tries to arrest an 11-year-old Palestinian boy.
