Verified accounts on twitter, including Mr Sinha (“@MrSinha_“) tweeted “Japan is for Japanese, MusIims get out of our country – Slogans are being raised in Japan. It seems Japanese are also fed-up with them….” after sharing the video of the incident. The tweet was made on Nov 30, 2023, which has received an about 1M views on X.

Several other accounts, including Harris Sultan (“@TheHarrisSultan“), Deepak Sharma (“@SonOfBharat7“), @MrSharmaSpeaks also made the same claim that a video from Burchuski City, Japan went viral where thousands of people went to the streets and demonstrated against Islam saying that Japan is for the Japanese, Drive Muslims out of our country. @AsianDigest shared the same video of the incident but made an opposite claim by tweeting “Japanese people rally against Pajeets. They are raising slogans “We don’t want street shitters” ” on Feb 17, 2024. Even this claim is also not true and misleading.

The truth is that Muslims are unrelated to this rally. In 2019, the number of Chinese immigrants residing in Japan was close to 785 thousand, with South Koreans accounting for over 475 thousand of the total.
