Fact-Check— 65 Years Old Hindu Temple Closed in Dubai?

There are rumours circulating that a Hindu temple in Dubai has been closed.

Verified accounts on twitter, including South Asian Journal (“@sajournal1“) tweeted “65 years old Hindu Temple closed in Dubai.” on Jan 4, 2024. The tweet has received an about 133.4k views on X.

Several other accounts, including @Jahangi32534223 made the same claim that a 65 years old Hindu Temple which was located in Dubai, is closed now. The archive can be read from above.

What is the Actual Truth About this Incident? : Fact

The truth is that in order to move its services to a new Hindu temple in Jebel Ali, a Shiva temple in Bur Dubai had to close its doors to worshippers. The inability to accommodate more worshippers and space congestion are the reasons for the relocation. It is relocated and than closed.
