The user further added “Umar son of Abid Mansoori resident of #Dewas had come to Ujjain to meet the girl while activists of Hindu organization caught the young man and handed him over to the police. During this, some people beat him severely. #Chimanganj police station has registered a case against the accused under other sections including molestation.” . The tweet post was made on Jan 7, 2024, which has received an about more than 7.5k views on X.

Several other accounts, including Crime Reports India (“@AsianDigest“), HindutvaWatch (“@HindutvaWatchIn“), Saba Khan (“@ItsKhan_Saba“), @IAMCHindi, @WaqarHasan1231 made the same claim that a Hindu Jagran Manch mob attacked a Muslim youth named Mohammad Umair Mansuri in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, citing the cause of “Love Jihad.” When Mansuri went to meet his Hindu female friend, he was beaten up. @ashoswai tweeted “So-called secular India – A Muslim man, for being friends with a Hindu woman was not only brutally beaten up by Hindu supremacist gang in MP, the police have arrested the Muslim man on criminal charges!” about the incident on Jan 7, 2024. Following word of the incident, people beat the man and saved the girl, then turned him over to the police.
