A heartbreaking video purporting to show a child eating green grass has gone viral, with the claim that the child is eating grass in Gaza.

Jamie (“@ApartheidRev“) tweeted “This child is eating grass somewhere in #Gaza! I’ve seen nothing like that before! What the hell is #Israel doing with these people?! Have you ever seen like that before?! A human child is eating GRASS!!! Still how can you stay quiet?! Raise your voice and demand #CeasefireNOW” on Jan 17, 2024. The tweet has received an about more than 1k views on X.

Several other accounts, including @Abuyousef, @RawFootage9, @CloudRussel also made the same claim that it is a heart-wrenching video, where a child has been seen eating grass somewhere in Gaza. The archive can be read from above.

We discovered that the video, which was uploaded in February 2022, is available on Facebook and other social media sites. This video purports to show a child in Syria eating grass because of acute hunger or extreme poverty.
