@AricGangte claimed in a twitter post that the Indian flag at the Churachandpur SP office in Manipur was removed to protect from fire and was not desecrated. The user added “One individual among the protestors took out the Indian flag to protect it from burning.” . The tweet was made on Feb 15, 2024, which has received an about 13.9k views on X.

Several other accounts, including @HennaryL claimed the same in a post and shared a picture of the incident. The user added “Despite the accusations from the Meitei against the Kuki community for burning the Indian flag while storming the Mini Secretariat last night .
