A video purporting to be a true incident shows a man getting physically attacked for putting out a woman seated in a dining hall with Holi colour.

Verified accounts on twitter, including @realwajidkhan tweeted “A comb was harassing an unknown woman in the name of Holi. Then that woman and the people present there combed their hair vigorously.” on March 25, 2024. The tweet has received an about 133.6k views on X.

Several other accounts, including @virjust18, @karishma_aziz97 made the same claim that the video shows a man being beaten up for applying a Holi colour on a woman, who is a Hindu forcefully. The archive can be read from above.

In actuality, this is a scripted video with no connection to reality. The footage was posted to The Great Khali’s Instagram account. Soniya, the woman in the video, is an athlete, while Balwan Singh, the male, is the content creator. The video was also uploaded by athlete Soniya, who stated in the description,  “The video is only for entertainment purposes.” . The woman expressed gratitude to the audience for watching and loving the video.
