According to a viral video depicting a massive explosion, Iran attacked and launched a heavy missile attack on Tel Aviv.

Verified accounts on twitter, including @neveed_1 tweeted “BREAKING NEWS #Iran started attack Tel Aviv with heavy missiles Tel Aviv is now under heavy bombardment, and fires are burning.” on April 4, 2024. The tweet has received an about 188.7k views on X.

Several other accounts, including @Peer_Shanu, @PPN1776, @murshidmobile, @helphumans199 made the same claim that Tel Aviv was attacked by heavy missiles as shown in the video by Iran. The archive can be read from above.

In actuality, the video has nothing to do with the intensifying conflicts between Israel and Iran. This video, which is connected to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine War, depicts a massive explosion in Sevastopol, Crimea. The explosions happened on March 23–24, 2024, last month. We visited pravda, which published an article on this incident on March 23, 2024 with the headline “Explosions in Sevastopol, social media report strikes – photo, video”. In occupied Sevastopol, there were perhaps ten explosions audible on Saturday evening. The Crimean Wind (Krymskii Veter) Telegram channel said that strikes had taken place in the city, and the occupation authorities reported the operation of air defence systems and targets shot down.
