Fact Check: A staged video of a young girl defeating four individuals circulated as a real-life incident 

A video has been circulating, showing a man grabbing a bag from a girl walking down a hallway, followed by her stunning retaliation where a young girl defeating four individuals with her impressive fighting skills. This video has been claimed to represent a real-life event, but in reality, it is scripted. It was created by CUC, a French stunt team renowned for producing staged videos and sharing them on their Instagram account.

Sharing the video on X (Formerly Twitter) @ScreenMix wrote, “They wanted to harass and bully her, so she gave a shocking response.” The post has received more than 5 million views, 19.5k likes and a significant number of engagements.

As soon as the posts containing the video and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis of the video. We found that the video was not a real-life incident, but scripted content.

To verify the claims made by the users. We performed a reverse image search of some key frames from the viral video using Google Lens. This led us to an Instagram post containing the same video. The video was uploaded on the Instagram account of Campus Univers Cascades (CUC), a French stunt team renowned for producing staged videos and sharing them on their Instagram account. 

Therefore, it is evident from D-Intent Data’s Fact Check that the viral video of the young girl defeating four men was not a real-life incident but scripted content.
