Propaganda account @pakistan_untold also shared the video and wrote. “8th-grade Bangladeshi girl abducted, r@ped for months, her eyes gouged out, and brutally murdered by Islamists”.

As soon as the posts containing the sensitive video and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis of the incident and found that the girl was not raped and not related to religion.
To verify the claims made by the users. We performed relevant keyword searches and found reports regarding the incident. According to reports (1, 2, 3), the incident took place in Assasuni Upazila of Satkhira district in Khulna Division, Bangladesh. A man named Rezaul Kabir Joni strangled a nine-year-old girl to death after snatching her gold earring. The claims about captivity are false and baseless. Also, no credible sources are suggesting that she was raped. Both the accused and the victim belonged to the same community.
The killer is a drug addict who gave a confessional statement to the court that he murdered to raise money for drugs by selling stolen earrings.
Therefore, it is evident from verified sources that the girl was not raped and the claims about captivity are not true.
