A video showing a chaotic scene where a group of people, including uniformed officers, are seen carrying unconscious individuals and loading them into a vehicle, is being shared with the claim that three members of a Muslim family were brutally murdered in a recent incident in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. The video is being portrayed as a religious hate crime. However, our verification reveals that the footage is not recent but from November 2024, and the accused and deceased were from the same community.
Sharing the video on X (Formerly Twitter), @Deshmukh_0 wrote, “Location: Uttar Pradesh, District: Bijnor. In the Bijnor district, a Muslim family’s triple murder took place, and the police remained silent, just watching. In Uttar Pradesh, theft, robbery, and murder have become common; unfortunately, no action is taken against the murderers. Especially when the victim is a Muslim or a Dalit. If Yogi Baba cannot handle Uttar Pradesh, then why doesn’t he resign from his position?” (Translated from Hindi)

Another account, @Athar_65, also shared the video and wrote, First the Muslim community had the problem of triple talaq. Now triple murder of a Muslim family in the Bijnor district. Will the harmony of the country remain intact if this is done??

The accused Nazim was arrested after CCTV footage showed him with Yaqoob before the incident. Allegedly, Nazim and Yaqoob had an argument at a neighborhood celebration. Nazim claimed the dispute escalated when Yaqoob mentioned his family’s gold, prompting Nazim to plan a robbery. Nazim entered their house that night, killed all three, and fled without finding valuables.
Therefore, it is evident from verified sources that the video was old and unrelated to a religious hate crime.
