The truth behind the claims about police encounter, Fact Check

As soon as the posts containing the sensitive video and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis of the incident and found that the claims made on social media were not true.

To verify the claims made by the users, we performed a relevant keyword search on Google. This led us to a media report regarding the incident. Some people slaughtered a calf in a field near the UP border in the village of Ikalhara. When cow vigilantes arrived, the suspects fled to the border village of Daulatpur in UP. According to Ikalhara Gau Shala operator Khanduri Baba, a calf from the Gau Shala wandered towards the UP border while grazing in the forest and was subsequently killed. An encounter occurred between the police and cow smugglers in Deeg Kumher.

The smugglers broke through a police blockade and fled while firing. Their vehicle lost control, crashed into a divider and an iron angle outside a shop, and was damaged. Police arrested Mubbi alias Mubarik, Irfan, Robin, and Tasleem in an injured state. They recovered two cows, a Shift Dzire car, a country-made pistol, and four live cartridges, and successfully freed the two cows. During research, we also found the police statement regarding the incident.

Therefore, it is evident from verified sources that they were involved in cow slaughtering and their vehicle met with an accident. The encounter was between the cow smugglers and the police.
