Fact Check: Fire broke out near Khalistani extremist Gurpatwant Pannun’s residence, influencers circulate misleading claims 

Recent news reports have circulated alleging that a significant fire, purportedly ignited by an unidentified individual, erupted near the residence of Gurpatwant Pannun, a Khalistani terrorist, in Oakville, Canada. This incident reportedly resulted in substantial damage, including an estimated 500,000 Canadian dollars (about $368,174) in property loss and the destruction of several luxury sports cars. However, according to the local police, the fire was caused by faulty electrical wiring.

Nearly 500,000 Canadian dollars ($368,174) and several sports cars damaged. Scared Pannun expressed concerns about the fire’s implications. Canadian authorities have so far not found any clue.

As soon as the posts containing the visuals and claims came to our notice, we conducted research and analysis regarding the incident and found that the incident was not criminal in nature. 

To verify the claims made by the users. We performed a relevant keyword search and found media reports regarding the incident. According to the media reports (1, 2) A major fire broke out near the residence of Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Pannun in Oakville, Canada. According to a statement from Halton Regional Police. Their investigation has determined that the fire was most likely caused by faulty electrical wiring. The police have emphasized that they do not view the fire as criminal or suspicious. And have found no evidence to suggest any intentional wrongdoing.

Therefore, it is evident from verified sources that the fire broke out due to faulty wiring, the police do not consider the fire to be criminal or suspicious in nature.
