Fact Check: Indian spy agencies involved in the killing of student protesters in Bangladesh? Pakistanis spread fake and fabricated claims

Nearly 200 people have been killed after a clash broke out between anti-quota protestors and law enforcement in Bangladesh. Now, Pakistan-based anti-India propaganda accounts are circulating false and self-invented stories with the claim that Indian intelligence agencies were involved in the killing of the protesting students in Bangladesh. However, D-Intent Data has debunked their narrative as usual.

Serial fake news peddler, Pakistan-based anti-India propaganda account @NavCom24 has shared an image from the โ€˜students protestsโ€™ and said. โ€œIndian spy agencies involved in killing student protesters in Bangladeshโ€.

Several other users have also shared the same image and made similar claims. Their posts can be seen here, Politics_View24, @observerdiplo, @RukhsarJamil2

The truth behind the claims that Indian intelligence agencies involved in the killing of the protesting students in Bangladesh, Fact Check

As soon as the posts containing the claims came to our notice, we conducted research and found no reports of Indian intelligence agencies being involved in the recent violence in Bangladesh.

According to report, the clash was between anti-quota protestors and law enforcement. Even after a thorough investigation, we did not find any report that suggested India had any role in the violence in Bangladesh.

During research, we found the Ministry of External Affairs statement regarding the violence in Bangladesh. On July 19, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal described the clashes between the protesters and law enforcement officials as an โ€˜internal matterโ€™ of Bangladesh.

Hence, it is evident from D-Intent Data’s Fact Check that the claims made by propagandists are false and baseless as there are no reports of Indian intelligence agencies being involved in the violence in Bangladesh. It is nothing but propaganda against India over the unrest in Bangladesh.
