A video from Donald Trump’s oath ceremony is being shared with the false claim that India’s Foreign Minister, S. Jaishankar, was asked to leave the venue during the event. However, these claims are entirely baseless and fabricated. Upon closer examination of the video, it is clearly visible that the official was not addressing S. Jaishankar, but was instead speaking to a camerawoman positioned near him.
Sharing the video on X (Formerly Twitter) propaganda account @DrJain21 wrote, “All Indians must be thankful to S. Jaishankar for ensuring Modi didn’t receive an invitation to attend Trump inauguration. Just imagine the embarrassing moments Modi might have created trying to steal the camera’s focus!”

Another propaganda account @KhalsaVision also shared the video and wrote, “The US authorities & cabinet members demanded the removal of EAM S. Jaishankar from the Inauguration Ceremony at the White House because he shamelessly refused when he was asked to stand at the last row. No respect left for Modi & co worldwide.”

The truth about the video shared about S. Jaishankar, Fact Check
As soon as the posts containing the video and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis of the video. We found that the security official was speaking to a camerawoman positioned near S. Jaishankar.
To verify the claims made by propagandists. We visited The White House’s official YouTube channel where we found the full video of Donald Trump’s oath ceremony. Upon closer examination of the video, it is clearly visible that the official was not addressing S. Jaishankar, but was instead speaking to a camerawoman positioned near him.
The official appeared to be requesting or asking the camerawoman to reposition herself, likely asking to move behind or avoid blocking the view of others in the area. There is no evidence in the video to suggest that the official’s remarks were directed at S. Jaishankar or that he was asked to leave. Furthermore, after the interaction, the camerawoman ceased her activities and left the place.
