Yes… the case is from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh where, Qadir, Majid, “gang-raped” a “Dalit girl” and made the “video viral”. The girl went to collect grass with her aunt, the aunt was tied to a tree and the girl was gang-raped. The girl’s father works at a brick kiln. How will you save your daughters. The truth behind the claims from Bareilly, Fact Check
As soon as the posts containing the visuals and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis regarding the claims and found that the incident was not related to religious hate crimes.
To verify the claims made by the users. We performed relevant keyword searches and found the Bareilly Police statement regarding the incident. According to the statement, The Bareilly police arrested Abdul Qadir and Nazid for misbehaving with a woman, threatening her, and making an offensive video viral. A case was registered, and the accused were arrested under appropriate sections of the law. Further legal proceedings are underway.
