A disturbing, sensitive image featuring a man and a young boy who had both his arms, right foot, and left leg amputated is making rounds on social media platforms. And being circulated as Palestinian victims of Israeli bombing. Pro-Palestine and Hamas sympathizers have shared the image with the claim that the young boy is the victim of the Israeli bombing against Palestinians in the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict. However, D-Intent Data has found that the image is old and not related to Palestine and the ongoing conflict between IDF and Hamas.
Propagandists disseminated old image of a victim of Israeli bombing with misleading claims
Several users, influencers, propagandists and Hamas sympathizers have shared the sensitive image and claimed to be from the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict.
Sharing the image a pro-Palestine account @bouchraSahrane on X (Formerly Twitter) wrote. “Israeli Nazism in its ugliest form. I swear by the One who created the heavens and the earth that the traitorous Arab rulers will be judged before God and given a difficult account because you are responsible for what is happening to our children and our people in Gaza”.
Another pro-Palestine account @PALMENA_IC has also shared the image and said, “Israeli Nazism in its ugliest form. Swearing by the One who created the heavens and the earth that the traitorous Arab rulers will be judged before God and held to account with a difficult account because you are responsible for what is happening to our children and our people in Gaza”.

Truth about the viral image shared as victim of Israeli bombing, Fact Check
As soon as the posts containing the disturbing image of the child lying on the bed in hospital came to our notice, we conducted research and found that this is an old image from Baniyas, Syria.
To verify the claims made by the propagandists, we ran a reverse image search on Google which led us to a Facebook post containing the same image uploaded in December 2019.
According to the Facebook post, this image is from Baniyas National Hospital, Syria. The boy’s name is Mahmoud Hassan Ali who had suffered an electric shock. Which led to the amputation of his upper and lower limbs.
Asking for the financial help, the user said. Child Mahmoud Hassan Ali from the village of Deir Al-Jard. A ten-year-old student in the third grade of primary school) was exposed. A few days ago, he received a moderate-voltage electric shock. Which led to the amputation of his Upper and lower limbs, and he is now in Baniyas National Hospital. He is receiving treatment; he needs help because his family’s financial situation is poor. We have to help him and stand by him, thank you very much. Oh, good people… He also provided the contact number of the father of the kid.
Hence, it is evident from D-Intent Data’s Fact Check that the viral image is not from the Israel-Palestine conflict but an old incident from Baniyas, Syria.
