Sensitive images featuring a young boy with injury marks on his back are making rounds on social media platforms. Several users, influencers and propagandists have shared the images with the claim that a Muslim student named Abdul Rahman was tortured by govt school teacher for refusing to pluck lemons and berries (Jamun) for her in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. Serial fake news peddler and propagandist account @MuslimSpaces on X (Formerly Twitter) has shared the image and wrote. UP: In Bareilly, a teacher beat up a Muslim student after locking him in a room. In Biharipur of Kuladia, a student Abdul Rehman was brutally beaten up for refusing to pluck berries and lemons. The teacher beat him up and tore the skin on his back, the victim’s family filed a case. Later, he deleted the post.

The truth behind the communal claims where a Student tortured by govt school teacher,
As soon as the posts containing the communal claims came to our notice, we conducted research and found that the victim student doesn’t belong to the Muslim community as claimed by the users.
During research, we found several media reports( Times of India, Patrika) regarding the incident. According to the reports the victim’s name is Komal and his parents are Pothiram and Bhanwati.
An FIR was registered under sections 115 (2) (voluntarily causing hurt) and 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) of BNS along with the SC/ST Act after a medical examination confirmed “multiple injuries on the child.
Moreover, in responding to the posts containing the communal claims, Bareilly Police have clarified that the victim child doesn’t belong to the Muslim community.
Hence, it is evident from D-Intent Data’s Fact Check that the victim student who was beaten up by his school teacher for refusing to pluck fruits, is not from the Muslim community as claimed by the users.
