However, these claims are entirely baseless and fabricated. According to official reports and police sources, an encounter took place on Monday between security forces and terrorists in the Krumhoora-Zachaldara area of Handwara, Kupwara district. During the operation, security forces successfully neutralized an unidentified terrorist.
Sharing a video from the incident on X (Formerly Twitter) propaganda account @TacticalTribun wrote. 4 Indian soldiers killed, multiple injured during an attack on their camp in Kupwara, IOK. Ambulances are seen in the area.

Another Pakistani propaganda account @intel_DOI also shared the visuals and wrote. “4 Indian soldiers killed, multiple injured during an attack on their camp by Kashmir Freedom Fighters in Kupwara, Indian Occupied Kashmir.”

The truth behind the claims from Jammu and Kashmir, Fact Check
As soon as the posts containing the visuals and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis regarding the incident. We found that an encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara but no soldiers’ death was reported.
To verify the claims made by propagandists. We performed relevant keyword searches and found multiple reports and official statements regarding the encounter. According to reports (1, 2, 3) and police sources (1, 2), an encounter broke out on Monday between security forces and terrorists in the Krumhoora-Zachaldara area of Handwara, Kupwara district. During the operation, an unidentified terrorist was neutralized. The encounter is still ongoing, with security forces suspecting the presence of two to three more militants at the site.
