The truth behind the claims related to Monica Yunus, Fact Check
As soon as the posts containing the visuals and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis regarding the incident and found that the video was not related to Muhammad Yunus’s daughter Monica.
To verify the claims made by the users. We performed a reverse image search of some key frames from the viral video using Google Lens. This led us to a YouTube video containing the whole incident.
The woman in the image is not Monica Yunus, and Monica Yunus is not a lesbian; she married Brandon McReynolds in 2009. Additionally, the woman in the image who claims to be Monica is not the daughter of Muhammad Yunus, but rather a different individual altogether. While asked about where she was born, she told the police officer that she was born in New York, on the other hand, Monica was born in Chittagong, Bangladesh. She was arrested by Verona Police for DUI in April 2022.
In the video, she can be heard telling the police officer that she is a Puerto Rican. Hence, the woman is not Bangladeshi or of Bangladeshi origin.
Therefore, it is evident from D-Intent Data’s Fact Check that the video doesn’t depict Muhammad Yunus’s daughter Monica. She is not lesbian; she married Brandon McReynolds in 2009.
