Fact Check: Video of a woman faking an accident in Bengaluru circulated with misleading claims 

A video circulating online shows a woman faking an accident by falling in front of a moving car on a busy road in Bengaluru. It is being claimed that a girl named Rukhsana deliberately positioned herself in front of the car, began hitting its bonnet, and demanded compensation. However, authorities or media outlets have not confirmed the girl’s identity, and her name remains unknown.

Sharing the video on X (Formerly Twitter) propagandist and Self-proclaimed OSINT account @RealBababanaras wrote. A video of a strange incident has surfaced. Here the woman named Rukhsana deliberately came in front of a vehicle passing by. The woman started dramatizing the accident and then started beating the car… The woman looked at the driver angrily and then went away. The entire incident was recorded in the dashcam installed on the car. Rukhsana started asking for compensation for the accident. Be alert.

The truth about the viral video of woman faking an accident in Bengaluru, Fact Check 

As soon as the posts containing the video of a girl faking an accident came to our notice. Subsequently we conducted research and analysis of the video and found that the claims about the identity of the accused woman were not true. 

To verify the claims made by the users. We performed a reverse image search of some key frames from the viral video on Google Lens. This led us to several media reports containing the same video. According to the media reports (1, 2, 3) a video of a woman faking an accident by deliberately falling in front of a moving car in Bengaluru has gone viral on social media. The bizarre incident was captured on the car’s dashcam and the footage raised several concerns after it was posted on X. No media outlet has mentioned the woman’s identity and no official statement is available regarding the video.

Therefore, it is evident that the identity of the woman has not been made public and there are no reports of her arrest. Hence, the claims made by users are not true. But self-invented.
