Fact Check: Video of Kuldeep Mishra exposing fraudsters on live TV circulated with misleading claims

A short video showing an individual making a coconut “fly” using a visible thread on live TV is being shared with claims that a person named Kuldeep Mishra is performing magic to deceive people. However, the truth is that Kuldeep Mishra was not performing magic but exposing fraudsters who use such tricks to mislead innocent people.

Sharing the video on X (Formerly Twitter), @PratikVoiceObc wrote, โ€œLook at this fraud by Kuldeep Mishra. He is blowing a coconut in the air. While it is clearly visible that it is tied with a threadโ€ (Translated from Hindi).

Another account, @RohitGarwa and @SarangSood, also shared the video and wrote, โ€œSee the power of mantras. Mishra ji made the coconut fly in the air with the mantrasโ€ (Translated from Hindi).

The real story about the video of Kuldeep Mishra, Fact Check 

As soon as the posts containing the video and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis of the video. We found that the man (Kuldeep Mishra) was not performing magic but he was exposing fraudsters.

To verify the claims made by the users and propagandists. We performed relevant keyword searches and found the full video on the YouTube channel of News Nation.  In the original version of the video, Mishra was not performing magic but exposing fraudsters who use such tricks to mislead innocent people. He demonstrated this trick during “Operation Pakhand”,  a campaign against superstition by News Nation aimed at uncovering fraudsters and raising public awareness about such deceptive practices.

Therefore, it is evident from verified sources that Kuldeep Mishra was not performing magic, but was exposing fraudsters.
