Fact Check: Unverified video of intense aerial bombardment falsely linked to the Israel-Palestine conflict

A video depicting an intense aerial bombardment featuring multiple projectiles descending and causing large explosions has been circulated with claims that Turkish forces are attacking Israel amid the ongoing Israel- Palestine conflict. However, our investigation reveals that the video has been available online since at least February 21, 2025, when it was shared with claims of showing a Chinese rocket launcher. Notably, Israel resumed military operations in the Gaza Strip on March 18, 2025, ending a two-month ceasefire with Hamas.

Sharing the video on X (Formerly Twitter), propaganda account @INDStoryS wrote, “Alhamdulillah, Turkey has come forward to help, celebrate your Eid with pomp and show. FreePalestineNow. Please pray for the Muslims of Palestine in your prayers! (Translated from Hindi).

Another propaganda account, @TMuslim6553, also shared the video and wrote, “Alhamdulillah, Turkey has come forward to help, celebrate your Eid with pomp and show. FreePalestineNow. Please pray for the Muslims of Palestine in your prayers! (Translated from Hindi).

Several other users, influencers and propagandists have also disseminated the video and made similar claims. Their posts can be seen here: @AnumSaeed497645, @HassanSiddiqei.

The truth behind the claims about Israel-Palestine conflict, Fact Check

As soon as the posts containing the video and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis of the video. We found that the video was old, unverified and unrelated to the Israel-Palestine conflict.

To verify the claims made by the users and propagandists. We performed a reverse image search of some keyframes from the viral video using Google Lens. This led us to TikTok posts (1, 2) containing the same visuals. The video has been available online since at least February 21, 2025, when it was shared with claims that it depicted a Chinese rocket launcher. Meanwhile, Israel resumed military operations in the Gaza Strip on March 18, 2025, ending a two-month ceasefire with Hamas.

Furthermore, there is no evidence that Turkey has engaged in direct military action against Israel; it has engaged in diplomatic efforts to reinstate the ceasefire in Gaza. The authenticity of the video remains unverified, but at first glance, it appears to be fake or CGI.

Therefore, it is evident from D-Intent Data’s Fact Check that the video was old, unverified and unrelated to the Israel-Palestine conflict.
