A sensitive video has circulated, claiming that a Muslim mob is protesting against Zakir Naik in Pakistan over his recent comments about Islam. However, D-Intent Data has discovered that this video is unrelated to Pakistan. It was actually uploaded on October 4, 2024, prior to Zakir Naik’s statements, and it depicts a protest against Yati Narsighanand for his remarks about the Prophet.
Sharing the video on X (Formerly Twitter) Right-Wing account @manamuntu wrote. Pakistani awam took to the streets and burnt effigies of Islamist hate preacher Zakir Naik and chanted the golden words “Sar Tan Se Juda”! Zakir Naik has been accused of distorting the preachings of Quran and Nabi Rasool. They allege he is a R&AW agent which in itself is the biggest sin/blasphemy in Pakistan
Propagandist account @MrSinha_ has also disseminated the video and wrote. “STSJ slogans against Zakir Naik in Pakistan for his speech in Pakistan. He is declared RAW agent for quoting hadith…” Later, he deleted the post.

As soon as the posts containing the video and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis of the video. And found that the video was not from Pakistan but from India.
To verify the claims made by the users. We performed a reverse image search of some key frames from the viral video on Google Lens. This led us to initial social media posts containing the same visuals. According to the social media posts (Instagram, YouTube), these people are protesting against Yati Narsighanand for making disrespectful remarks about Prophet Mohammad in Uttar Pradesh.
Additionally, upon close observation of the video, In the alleged video, Indian brands like Florozone and Hindi text are visible on roadside billboards.
