FACTCHECK: Dalits stopped from entering a Shiva temple in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone district

ANALYSIS: Misleading

FACT: Hate spreader account “The Dalit Voice” claiming that Dalits were stopped from entering a Shiva temple in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone district, and publicly humiliated by Hindus and chased away. According to Police there were tensions between the two communities in connection with a proposal to construct a statue of BR Ambedkar near the temple and the cutting of a banyan tree where people used to worship. There was heavy stone pelting from both sides, complaints have been taken from both the parties and action will be taken as per police statement.

INTENT: Hate spreader news media sharing news with false claim to create unrest in the state and deliberately hides the fact where Hindu devotees sentiment got hurt due to proposed tree cutting.
