Professor Nitasha Kaul Not Allowed to Enter India, Deported To London, Let’s Know Her anti-India History

The “intellectual and professor” Nitasha Kaul was sent to London after being denied entry into India. She says this is because she was invited to speak on democratic and constitutional values by the Karnataka government, which is led by Congress.

Professor Nitasha Kaul, PhD (“@NitashaKaul“) made a claim in a twitter post that she was refused entry into India for delivering a speech about constitutional and democratic values. The government of the Congress-ruled state of Karnataka invited her as an esteemed delegate to a conference, but the centre denied her entry. She attached all the documents for all the claims she made related to the incident. She said that her all documents were true and valid, current UK passport and OCI were valid true, Yet, without any reason she was denied an entry into India. She made the tweet on Feb 25, 2024, which has received an about 2.8M views, contributing to the spread of the information. She even claimed that her travel and logistics had been arranged by Karnataka and she had the official letter with her. She further received no notice that she won’t be allowed to enter, yet she was denied her entry to India. She added “I spent 12 hours in a flight from London to Bangalore, several hours at immig where they shuttled me here & there, provided no info on process, then 24 hours in a holding cell (no BA flight back until next day) under direct cctv w restricted movement, a narrow area to lie down”. She attached her pictures where she was harassed, had no access to food and water, asked for basic help from airport but didn’t get any. Then, after so much of harassment, she again travelled 12 hours from Bangalore to London.

Nitasha Kaul is secretly married to Dibyesh Anand, a gay rights activist who rose to popularity by identifying and claiming himself as a gay activist. He is quite outspoken about India; examples include discussing the CAA protest in an interview with Aljazeera and going to anti-India seminars with his spouse, Nitasha. The duo got married since June, 2003.

In 2019, Nitasha Kaul testified at the US Congress, urging India be censured for abrogating Article 370. She thus spoke out against a law for restoring the qual rights for all in Kashmir. Thread 5: Nitasha Kaul and her husband used to attend anti-India events as speakers

As speakers for the South Asia Solidarity Group, which Amrit Wilson founded and whose OCI was recently cancelled by India, Nitasha Kaul and her husband used to attend anti-India events. livelaw.in posted about this incident with the headline “Delhi High Court Seeks Centre’s Response On Author Amrit Wilson’s Plea Against OCI Card Cancellation” on May 12, 2023. Even Dibyesh Anand thanked South Asia Solidarity Group in a Facebook post for organizing the crucial event on “Stand up to dissent in Modi’s India” on Oct 25, 2017.

Thread 6: Couple attended an anti-India event co-hosted by the AARW

The Asian American Resource Workshop (AARW) co-hosted an anti-Indian event that the couple attended. Fred Ho, also referred to as the Mao-inspired Communist, founded AARW. For a very long time, AARW has collaborated with CPA [funded by CCP].

AARW posted “AARW’s Activist Training Institute (ATI) 2017 cohort has been hard at work on this action with the Chinese Progressive Association – CPA Boston and the Chinatown Community Land Trust. See you at 3pm on Thursday!” on Oct 4, 2017. The documents related to The Asian American Resource Workshop, 1988 Community Internship Program (June 6- August 12) shared about the Practical Training, which says “Community Interns will divide their time between work in a community-based organization and the AARW. Community organizations may include the Chinatown/South Cove Neighborhood Council, the Vietnamese American Civic Association, the Cambodian Community of Massachusetts, and the Chinese Progressive Association Workers Center.” ALso, a post was made on Facebook on April 6, 2022, which wrote “Join us in conversation with Dibyesh Anand and Nitasha Kaul, two distinguished public intellectuals visiting from London, who will be leading discussions on Hindu Nationalism in India and the Politics of Fear (led by Dibyesh Anand), and Democracy under Threat in India and Beyond (led by Nitasha Kaul) this Friday (4/8) at 7:30 at the Democracy Center in Harvard Square!”. It shows that it was organized by The Boston South Asian Coalition (BSAC) and co-hosted by the Asian American Resource Workshop (AARW).

Thread 7: Intellectual was seen in several anti-India Kashmir propaganda organizations

An intellectual who wanted to give a speech in Bengaluru on democratic and constitutional values has been seen on several occasions with groups that propagate anti-India Kashmir propaganda, including “Stand with Kashmir” (SWK) and “Kashmir Solidarity Movement” (KSM) . It was even featured in the SWK syllabus, as we visited Stand with Kashmir.

Kashmir Solidarity Movement posted on Facebook on Jan 31, 2015 and wrote “Huge thank you to all those who attended the film screening of Kashmir’s Torture Trail yesterday . It was a great turnout and we hope you found it beneficial. We look forward to see you again at future events and society meetings.”

Iver Ørstavik posted a picture on Facebook and wrote “From #Kashmir Solidarity Society of London to #Rafto Student Group w/ Nitasha Kaul & Dibyesh Anand“.

Nitasha Kaul also met extremist and propaganda journalist Arfa Khanum Sherwani the previous year. The journalist and an intellectual duo engaged in a “beautiful conversation” about gender, identity, and Kashmir. The two also got together at the Parliament of the World’s Religions in Chicago in 2023. Parliament of the World Religions posted that Arfa Khanum Sherwani and Nitasha Kaul were among the presenters for “Advancing Human Rights for South Asia’s Religious Minorities”.

@khanumarfa tweeted “Was great to meet the wonderful Dr Nitasha Kaul @NitashaKaul Director, Centre for the Study of Democracy, at University of Westminster while she was visiting Delhi. We discussed about Kashmir, gender and identity and much more.” on Feb 6, 2023.

Nitasha Kaul has even shared the stage alongside anti-Indian individuals and groups. She knows ISI agents such as Muzzammil Ayyub Thakur, whose father used to transport ISI funds to Kashmir. She and Muzzammil go to several of these anti-India seminars.
