A Pakistan-based propaganda account named @Pak1stTeam on X(Formerly Twitter) has made a post and said. “Indian occupation has launched multiple operations in Indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir in Sopore & Handwara; the barbaric army has so far killed 2 Kashmiris in the occupied valley and in retaliation Kashmiri freedom fighters have killed 2 Indian occupational terrorists.” The post is available here (Archived)

Two Terrorists Killed In An Encounter In Sopore: Debunking Pakistani Propaganda

Two terrorists were killed in an encounter with the security forces at the Hadipora area of PD(Police District) Sopore. A cop and an army jawan were injured in the exchange of firing with the terrorists.

According to The Hindu, An Army spokesman said the security forces, including the J&K Police and the Army, launched an anti-militancy operation in Sopore following “specific intelligence input regarding the presence of terrorists”. The militants were encircled and engaged in a gunfight in the Hadipora area. “Two terrorists have been killed in the encounter. Incriminating materials, arms and ammunition were recovered,” the police said.

“The killed terrorists have been identified as Usman and Umar, both of Pakistan origin and associated with LeT(Lashkar-e-Taiba)”. The Hindu reported.

The claims about kashmiri civilians being killed in operations are false and baseless.
