The True Timeline
This incident actually occurred in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, and the video is from around April-May 2023. The video in question began circulating widely in July. According to the police, both the victim and the accused were part of the same group, and this deplorable act was the result of mutual enmity. Furthermore, the victim had prior criminal records, including cases of theft and looting.
Swift Police Action
On July 25, 2023, the Hindustan Times reported an article. The Uttar Pradesh Police arrested a suspect seen in the video for assaulting and urinating on an unconscious man in Agra. The disturbing video showed the accused and his friends brutally attacking the victim. However, Agra police registered a case under section 307 of the IPC and other relevant sections, a man-hunt began in Uttar Pradesh following the video went viral.
