Verified profiles on twitter, including Mr Anon (“@Ikhumanbeing“) shared the video claiming that Hindu terrorists attacked the Freemont Sikh Gurdwara in California, USA. He also added that, One man got out of his car, went to the Langar (Free Kitchen) hall, and assaulted senior members of Sikh society. He didn’t stop there and began destroying Temple property, ripping off portraits.

Many other verified accounts, including Singh (“@APSvasii“), @ajaychauhan41, Khabr Now (“@KhabrNow“) claimed that Hindutva terrorists pose a significant threat to American Sikhs. All of the twitter posts reached a larger audience, who further reshared the twitter posts and claimed the same.

The official Facebook account of Gurdwara Sahib Fremont confirmed that the attacker suffered from a mental illness.
On October 15,2023 at around 9:00 p.m., an unidentified youth attempted to break the flex board of Hardeep Singh Nijjar on the outside side of the Langar Hall building at Gurdwara Sahib Freemout, which was caught by servicemen present on the scene and handed over to the police. The young man was arrested and charged by police. Furthermore, according to their statement, this attack was carried out by one of their “own people,” a Sikh. They also clarified false information spreading on social media.
