Verified accounts on twitter, including @Indsamachar tweeted “Tamil Nadu: BJP IT & Social Media Cell District Secretary* Rajesh Biju was brutally thrashed last evening in front of his house. Rajesh is undergoing treatment in Sri Chakra Hospital, Nanganallur, Chennai East.” on April 15, 2024.

Several other accounts, including @bs_hariharan3, @munothbharath, @MeghUpdates, @AmitLeliSlayer, @sanjoychakra made the same claim that BJP IT & Social Media Cell Dist Secratary Shri Rajesh Biju was attacked in front of his house on April 14, 2024. The archive can be read from above.

This is an outdated video that has been accessible online since August 2023, at the latest. In reality, BJP IT & Social Media Cell Dist Secratary Shri Rajesh Biju was attacked by his party or followers, according to earlier reports. The video is not current and is unrelated to the current campaign for the general elections that will take place in 2024. We visited tamil.getlokalapp, which published an article on this incident on August 1, 2023 with the headline “BJP executive who attacked his own party member!”. Social media users are spreading a video of Subbiah consuming alcohol inside his restaurant after he publicly discussed alcoholism. In this instance, Subbiah and his supporters attacked Rajesh, the BJP IT Division Secretary, at his home in the same district, for organising and disseminating the relevant video. In this case, Rajesh, who suffered an injury, is receiving care at the Crompet Government Hospital.
