Japan Earthquake — Old Video Of Tsunami From Kamaishi City, Japan Resurfaced With False Claims: Fact-Check 

A video purporting to be from the most recent earthquake in Japan shows cars floating by huge waves caused by tsunami.

Verified accounts on twitter, including Berlin (“@Toxicity_______“) also claimed the same that the video is from the recent Earthquake in Japan. The user asked everyone to Pray for Japan after attaching the video in the post. The tweet was made on Jan 1, 2024, which has received an about 56k views on X.

In actuality, this video was captured during the 2011 tsunami that destroyed Kamaishi City. It is not a recent video at all.
