Fact-Check: Digitally Altered Akasa Air Sanskrit Announcement Video in Sanskrit Goes Viral

For the last few days, a video of an Akasa Air flight attendant making in-flight safety announcements in Sanskrit has been going viral on social media. Digitally Altered Akasa Air Sanskrit Announcement Video with False Claims

Several users on social media platforms have shared the digitally altered video of Akasa Air and projected it as a real video.

Truth Behind the Viral Akasa Air Sanskrit Announcement Video

We did a reverse image search of some key frames from the viral video on Google which led us to an Instagram reel dated June 6 on an account named “sanskritsparrow“. The post’s caption stated that, “The above content is a dubbed voice over. this was not announced by at flight. This does not have anything to do with Akasaair management”.

Akasa Air has also issued a clarification that reads. “We would like to clarify that our inflight announcements are delivered in Hindi and English. The announcement in the video is not an official one and seems to be a dubbed video that has been shared”. The statement of Akasa Air can be accessed here ( Archived ).

Akasa Air has also made a comment on an Instagram reel containing the same video. Akasa Air said that the inflight announcements are made only in Hindi and English.
